LANSING, MI — Since 1996, St. Stephen’s Community Church, United Church of Christ on Lansing’s eastside has awarded over $75,000 in scholarships to students in mid-Michigan. Every year the church’s board of Trustees sponsors a golf outing to provide college scholarships. “The education of our youth is a top priority for our church. Providing students and their families this support grows out of our Christian faith and commitment to higher educational endeavors,” said Reverend Dr. Michael C. Murphy, the senior pastor at St. Stephen’s.
