State of Our Health: Through the Voices of Our People and COGIC Walk-a-thon Set

The Church of God In Christ’s (COGIC’s) 2009 World Missions invites interested parties to join the celebration in support of world missions and education globally. This year’s COGIC World Missions is hosting a World Missions Walk-a-Thon to commence at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2009 gathering at the host church of New Hope COGIC located at 6025 S. Waverly Rd. and ending at Lansing COGIC located at 5304 Wise Road.

This event is open to participants from all denominations to take part in the COGIC 2009 Heritage World Missions Walk-a-Thon to celebrate their founder, Bishop C.H. Mason’s birthday.

This year, they’re walking for the purpose of establishing a scholarship fund to assist those in need during these tough economic times.

COGIC World Missions Scholarship Fund will help support, empower, and educate their missions globally.  They’re hoping that they can count on residents to support COGIC 2009 Heritage World Missions efforts as they unify statewide for the cause. For more information on the walk-a-thon, to volunteer, vendor or to find out information about other events call Jackie Day at 517-410-9399.
