Mighty Medicine is having their CD Release Show Saturday, from 8pm-11pm July 23rd at The Creole Gallery (1218 Turner Street, Old Town Lansing). Mighty Medicine has been a power soul, rock, reggae, jazz, blues duo for two years, performing over 400 venues since June of 2009. Members DeShaun Sparkle Snead (vocals and percussion) and Larry Neuhardt (guitar) are excited about the release of their second album.
This long anticipated project has been a year and a half in the making, the result is 14 tracks and over an hour of music. Recorded, mixed, and mastered at Heron Productions in Okemos, Michigan this album, entitled “Mighty Medicine” is filled with rich, soulful harmonies, fresh original music, and an all-star musician line up. Musicians featured on the CD include Rodney Whitaker (Professors of Jazz), Elden Kelly, and Andy Wilson (Steppin’ In It) and a host of other gifted musicians.
The Saturday night CD Release Show will include performances by Billiards Music (Reggae), Elden Kelly (Jazz), Cat and Peter Paul (Folk/Rock), Anissa Risper (Jazz) and Mighty Medicine performing tracks from their new album.
