LANSING, MI — Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church has been without a pastor for close to three years. We are pleased to announce that they have a new pastor, Walter Gibson from Houston, TX and we will be having installation services for him on Sunday, January 21, 2007 , immediately following the 11am service. Pastor Gibson is married to his college sweetheart, Tarsha Gibson of Shreveport, Louisiana. They have two sons: Cameron (14) and Christian (10).
After publishing the book, No More Business As Usual: The Church Then & Now, Walter and wife, Tarsha, founded the for-profit ministry, People of Integrity Ministries. People of Integrity Ministries endeavors to edify the body of Christ in spiritual growth through public speaking, teaching workshops, Christian literature, and giving back to the community through acts of agape love.
Pastor Gibson formally served as Assistant Pastor/Christian Education Director at the New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas where Rev. Willie Jones is the Senior Pastor.
