New Spotlight: Suspect in House Shooting Arraigned

 The following suspect,  Melvin Martel Taylor, was arraigned March 13, 2014 in 54-A District court in front of Magistrate Millmore.

The suspect was charged with incidents that occurred on Wednesday (March 5, 2014 @12:53 a.m.) and on Friday (March 7, 24 @ 4:08 a.m.) at a residence in the 800 block of Riverview Ave. (shooting into a house/occupied dwelling).
 
The 21 year old Lansing man is charged with the following:

Count 7: Weapons – Firearms – Possession by Felon (Felony)
Count 8: Firearms – Discharge in or at a building (Felony)
Count 9: Conspiracy to commit weapons – firearms – Discharge in or at a Building (Felony)
Count 10: Weapons – Carrying Concealed (Felony)
Count 11: Weapons – Felony Firearms (Felony)
Habitual Offender – Fourth offense notice
 
BOND: $300,000. Cash/Surety
