On May 21, 2017, just prior to 7:00 a.m. Lansing Police responded to a residential burglary alarm in the 1100 Blk of E. Kalamazoo. Officers checked security of the home including the interior. Unfortunately, officers discovered a male subject that was deceased. No other persons were located therein.
We have several resources working on this, to include Lansing Police and Michigan State Police criminal and scene investigators. We are still early into the investigation but consider this a homicide. We do not believe this to be a random act or that a greater public safety concern exists.
The victim is a 27 yr old Lansing resident. We are working through next of kin notification and appreciate patience with the release of deceased’s name. No other details are available at this time.
