On Friday, 2/9/18 at approximately 12:10 p.m. Lansing Police were dispatched to the 4300 block of Pleasant Grove Rd. in regard to a shooting. Ingham County 911 Central dispatch advised responding officers of subject lying outside near a building.
Upon arrival officers located an unresponsive male subject (24 year old) with an apparent gunshot wound. A handgun was recovered near the male subject. Officers rendered first aid until Lansing Fire Department Medics took over. The male subject was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced dead.
This shooting is still in the preliminary stages of the investigation. On scene investigation continues as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding this death investigation.
