The confident seller demonstrates empowered self-assurance with every sale. Your buyers will be inspired and drawn in by your positivity and good energy. Here are a few behaviors that genuinely confident people implement in their day-to-day life.

1. Bring Value by Listening
Incorporate the practice of listening, you will learn right away how to be more helpful in an authentic way. This simple thoughtful practice inspires the value of others that attracts people to you.

Focus on maintaining your focus and being fully present at your next sales call/presentation. Allow yourself to hear and restate
what the buyers are saying. Follow up with additional questions to further engage them demonstrating your interest, and you will be amazed at where the conversation will lead you.

2. Celebrate Small Victories

Determination ignites the parts of the brain responsible for reward, motivation, and building self-confidence. Determination empowers you to keep going even when conditions appear unfavorable. And determination is pumped through your body by testosterone. Although there are several ways to release testosterone in your body, one way to directly impact your sales success is by celebrating your small victories.

Here are some ideas to celebrate your wins:

  • Share your wins with loved ones.
  • Buy yourself a gift to remind you of the win.
  • Take time off and do something you enjoy.
  • Capture your progress by regularly journaling.

3. Boosting Your Self-Worth

Low self-worth is a major contributor to poor sales performance because it influences how you value yourself, your ability to accomplish goals and how you interact with others. And as you know, selling is all about interacting and exchanging value.

Building self-worth is more than driving towards accomplishing goals and objectives. It requires regularly participating in activities that increase your joy and improve your ease. Here are a few activities to get you started:

  • Volunteer doing something you enjoy connecting with others.
  • Smiling triggers your brain to feel more secure and relaxed.
  • Small acts of kindness make a big impact on you. Assume people like you and greet them with enthu-siasm.

Visualize yourself doing well, and experience the feeling of succeeding before you set out for the day. You will begin to notice your mood improving, increased sales success, and your self-confidence beginning to thrive.

4. Master Your Mindset

Your mentality is your reality. Your mentality is your mindset developed by your attitudes which fuels your level of dedication, hard work, and resilience to succeed. Your mindset can radically improve your life.

Your mindset is as important as your best sale and biggest client. Develop a great one, and you make everything in your life better immediately. When you change the way you think, you change the course of your life.

Here are a few simple steps you can do throughout the day, quickly and easily, to improve your mindset:

  • Just breathe. (5 minutes)
  • Write your grateful list. (3 minutes)
  • Sit in silence. (2 minutes)

5. Reframe Negative

Feedback

You can welcome negative feedback as input towards your professional growth. To avoid feelings of hurt, proactively prepare to face them by crafting a script.

By doing so, your inner champion will reinforce your confidence and build your self-talk. Here are some examples.

“Thank you for the feedback, I hadn’t thought of it that way before.”

“Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Let me get back to you by [fill-in] date once I’ve had some time to think it through.”

“I understand what you’re saying, let me modify the proposal and review it with you in a few days. Does [fill-in] date work to schedule a review?

Conclusion

Remember, the only constant thing in life is change. Only when you venture outside of your comfort zone you will develop new skills and unleash your unstoppable confidence.
