News Spotlight: Initial focus of the missing person investigation is victim of homicide
On Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at approximately 8 a.m. a missing persons report was filed by a co-worker at the Lansing Police Department Headquarters at 120 W. Michigan. Officers were informed a co-worker had not shown up to work in a few days, which was not normal.

News Spotlight: Officers Discover Deceased Male During Burglary Call
On May 21, 2017, just prior to 7:00 a.m. Lansing Police responded to a residential burglary alarm in the 1100 Blk of E. Kalamazoo. Officers checked security of the home including the interior.
Unfortunately, officers discovered a male subject that was deceased. No other persons were located therein.

Dear Cathy,
We have a wonderful Beagle/mix who is almost 10 years old. We are constantly amazed by Tanner’s intelligence and loving nature, but he has one behavior that we cannot seem to control. He barks at everyone who walks by our house, whether or not they are walking a dog, and everyone who comes to our door. If they come in, he wags his tail and loves them, so it’s not that he is ferocious. He’s just really loud. Is there anything we can do to curb this behavior? – Helaine Yancey, Charlotte, N.C.
