I do not ever remember my father playing ball with me. I never received an allowance. I was never allowed to spend the night at a friend’s house. I was never allowed to have a friend spend the night. I was never allowed to go to the picture show on my own or with friends.

Join in the festivities which starts at the corner of Woodward and Mack in Detroit. The 18th annual celebration of Caribbean culture and heritage will be held on August 14 and 15, 2010 at Hart Plaza in Detroit. This two-day event will be booming with festivities.
