News Spotlight: Shooting Suspect of 16 Year Old Female Caught


On February 2, 2013 at  9:46 p.m. officers responded to the 1100 block of W. Maple on reports that a 16 year old female had been shot. The female victim remains in stable condition. The LPD Investigations worked the case and acquired the below warrants for an 18 year Lansing male named Uriah Jackson. Uriah Jackson was arrested by Eaton County Police after receiving information of his whereabouts from an observant off duty Lansing Police Explorer. The LPD extends its appreciation to the Eaton County Sheriff for this capture. Uriah Jackson is currently at the Ingham County Jail with the below court information; 
Mr. Jackson was arraigned before Judge Clarke on 4 felony charges Friday, April 26, 2013. 
Counts 1 & 2 are for Assault with Intent to Murder 
Count 3 is Weapons – Carrying with unlawful intent 
Count 4 is Felony Firearm 
Pre-Examination Hearing: Tuesday, May 7 
$100,000.00 cash/surety bond has been set.
