LANSING, MI — Faced with a $10 million budget deficit, the Lansing School District decided to close Walnut Elementary located at 1012 N. Walnut St. It was one of five schools closed last June by the budget-crunched public school district.

Q: My family and I have been contemplating starting a business. Are there any pointers out there for running a family owned business? Or for starting a business with your spouse?
My initial reaction to listening to Marion Meadows’ latest release, “Dressed To Chill”, on the Heads Up International label, was one of slight disappointment. Perhaps I’m a little spoiled, but it is my expectation that when an artist releases a new CD, it’s going to be better than that artists’ previous release.
