News Spotlight: Open auditions for Michigan State University Children and Youth Choirs

        
EAST LANSING, MI – Children and youth ages 7-18 years old are invited to audition for MSU Children and Youth Choirs at the MSU Community Music School.
 
Four choirs are offered: Preparatory Choir for ages 7-9, CMS Singers for ages 9-14, the MSU Children’s Choir for ages 10-18, and the Young Men’s Chorus for young men with changing or changed voices.
 
Auditions will be held on December 6 from 5–7 p.m., December 11 from 10 a.m.–12 p.m., and January 3 from 5–7 p.m.  Please call the Community Music School at (517) 355-7661, ext. 10 to set up an appointment. Audition material does not need to be prepared.
 
“These choirs are made up of local students who enjoy singing, learning, and meeting new people,” said Kristin Zaryski, director of the MSU Children’s and Youth Choirs. “Each choir needs enthusiastic, talented, and creative singers who are ready to work hard, be challenged, and have fun.”
