We Remember Community Activist, Ruth Hallman: 1931-2007
Ms. Hallman and her daughter, Councilperson Carol Wood were chosen as two of our 2007 Most Interesting and Influential edition which is posted on www.tncp.net. They were the first mother and daughter to be featured in the same edition.
Thank you to all the churches who participated on The Day of Prayer that was held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on August 1, 2007.

Poetry in the City on July 26, 2007 Individual World Poetry Slam Champion visits Lansing
LANSING, MI — A poetry reading will be held at the Women’s Historical Museum & Hall of Fame located at 213 West Main Street in Lansing on Thursday, August 9, 200 7 from 7-9 p.m. featuring the Old Town poets. Another will be held at Shabazz Academy in September.
